Cadillac Scores Big with 2017 Sales

Cadillac achieved a major milestone in 2017 — a trend it hopes to continue moving into this new calendar year.

With its second-highest sales mark in the brand’s 115-year history, Cadillac achieved a 15.5 percent increase in sales for 2017 when compared to the previous period. By delivering 356,467 vehicles worldwide last year, Cadillac has once again proven itself as a strong and desired luxury brand.

The Cadillac XT5 was the brand’s best-selling model for 2017.

“The resurgence of the brand is underscored by our attaining the second-highest total sales figure in Cadillac’s 115-year history,” said Cadillac President Johan de Nysschen. “Our objective of rapidly establishing a second volume hub for the brand to complement our U.S. operations has been attained, as our Chinese business grew exponentially, leaving us well-positioned for sustained growth going forward.”

With a total of 143,905 units sold, the best-selling Cadillac product in 2017 was the Cadillac XT5 crossover.
