Habitat for Humanity & Nissan Celebrate Fundraising Completion

Marking the conclusion of the second annual Home is the Key campaign, Habitat for Humanity and Nissan celebrated the successful fundraising campaign with a special key dedication ceremony and ribbon cutting for two deserving Nashville families.

Recently featured on the TODAY Show, the Home is the Key campaign brought Nissan, Habitat for Humanity and other contributors together to build homes, raise funds and promote awareness regarding the need for affordable housing.

“Americans clearly recognize the strong and growing need for affordable housing. That recognition is important, but we can’t stop there. Through the Home is the Key campaign, we’re delivering tangible ways people can take action to support more affordable housing in their own communities. We can’t thank Nissan and their customers enough for their support of affordable housing in the United States,” said Jonathan Reckford, CEO of Habitat for Humanity International.

Nissan was equally thrilled about their involvement in the Home is the Key campaign.

“Nissan and Habitat have partnered together for more than a decade, helping families all over the world build strength and stability by building their own homes,” said Jeremy Tucker, vice president, Marketing Communications and Media, Nissan North America. “We are proud to be a part of the Home is the Key campaign. Studies have shown that a stable home plays a key role in positively influencing a family’s education, health and financial opportunities.”
