Control Your Nissan Through Amazon Alexa and Stay Connected

You may know Amazon Alexa from her witty commercials and intelligent capabilities, but did you know that she has an automotive side too? Amazon Alexa will be teaming up with Nissan to offer a new skill for Nissan drivers across Massachusetts and beyond. With this skill, you’ll be able to connect, communicate and control your Nissan all from the comfort of your home just by talking to Amazon Alexa!

When you visit the Amazon Skills Store, you’ll find a new, free skill called NissanConnectSM Services under the Connected Car Category. When your Nissan Rogue or Altima is equipped with telematics, you’ll enjoy the power and capability of Amazon Alexa to help you lock, unlock, start and stop your Nissan all from the comfort of your home or office. Thanks to this strategic partnership, you’ll now be able to talk to your Nissan without having to be inside the vehicle or have the Alexa app open. You can even customize the name of your Nissan if you want!

This new partnership with Amazon Alexa is just another step by Nissan to fulfill its Nissan Intelligent Mobility mission. This mission aims to help make driving safer, smarter and more enjoyable. The automaker is also hoping to expand this technology to include the 2018 Nissan LEAF® by creating a NissanConnectSM EV and Service Skill that can help you check your battery, manage your remote changing and more.

If you want to know what current and existing Nissan models can access Amazon Alexa’s new skill, the complete list is as followed:
